Edson Luli

Edson Luli was born in Shkoder (Albania) in 1989, lives and works in Milan.

Luli’s work is a continuous investigation about the existence of the being and its relation to the environment, especially man-made. The way we behave within the spaces of everyday life can be thought as the essence of our presence in the world. What happens when we start observing it? By offering to the audience a participative type of observation, he proposes, through his practice, to explore what is happening when we are engaged in the activity of thinking. Thought is all around us, all man made environment and interventions are a product of thought. Thought is what precedes everything that has happened, is happening and will happen. Luli’s research lies in this temporal space where perceptions, abstractions, concepts and mental models are created. In his practice he uses different media that vary from print and photography to film and installations. Luli approches the medium as a continious communication with the concepts and abstractions that arise from a multidisciplinary research.

Luli is graduated in New Technologies of Art (BA) and in Cinema and Video (MA) at Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan.

Luli has participated in Art House School residency organized by Adrian Paci, Shkodër, Albania, 2018; L’Arte nei Pixel.
